In each poker room review, we break down the online poker room into six categories in addition to our written review:
Rake & Bonus
We rate this by calculating the rake taken by the poker room comparing with industry average. We also take note of the easiness to obtain a bonus and the amount issue.
Banking Options
This primarily rates how much time it requires for a payout. The options availability also improve the score.
Soft Competition
We rate this by looking at the free rolls and tournament values. We also look at the competition level of the players. The the competitive they are, the lower the score.
Game Play
This is where we rate the software graphics, connection, navigation easiness and the overall gaming experience.
Creditability
Being longer in the industry definitely helps boost the score here. We also look at the auditors side and the casino's operation history. The parent company being publicly listed also counts in this category.
Customer Service
When we rate customer service, we ask these questions - Does it offer 24/7 hotline? How fast does it respond its emails? Were the staff friendly?

Overall scores as well as individual categories are rated between 0 and 5, with 5 representing as close to perfection as you can possibly get. Here's a breakdown of what each score means to us:

5.0 (Incredible)
We only reserve 5.0 to the most superb online poker rooms.  In terms of customer service, entertainment value and prompt payout, you cannot find better poker rooms than them.
4.5 (Outstanding)
Top notched poker rooms that are near perfection, they didn't get a 5  because there are a few hardly noticeable slips that can be improved. Otherwise, excellent poker room.
4.0 (Great)
Poker rooms with 4.0 are very noteworthy and definitely deserve your patronage.  The reason why it is a 4 are probably because they are not publicly listed or have some other minor flaws.
3.5 (Impressive)
Though there are some apparent faults and customer service might not be at par, you will have a great gaming experience playing at a 3.5 poker room.
3.0 (Good)
A good poker room which has some obvious flaws, but these blemishes are often compensated by big bonuses. You will have a passable experience playing at these poker rooms.
2.5 (Decent)
We give them a 2.5 primarily because your money will be safe here.  There are occasional payment delays and perhaps software errors.
2.0 (Fair)
Although there are quite a few things that are sub-par, you can still find elements that you might enjoy at a 2.0 poker room.  The entire experience of these poker rooms can be described as mediocre.
1.5 (Poor)
Poor connection, obscure background, poor reputation, none-existing auditors.  Simply put  -  there are better poker rooms out there.  Try before spending your hard-earned money on it.
1.0 (Terrible)
Poker rooms that receive a 1.0 are normally scam, or somewhere along those lines.  They are practically scam wearing a poker room skin.  AVOID AT ALL COST!
0.5 (Half Rated)
Poker rooms that receive 0.5 are most probably due to incomplete review by us.  It is best that you wait for a complete review from us before join these online poker rooms.
0 (Not Rated)
Poker rooms with 0 are either added recently awaiting review or they are drop dead the worst kind of online poker room scam.  Either way, we do not recommend them.
